An anthro Steven Tyler-ish looking singer ^_^ WHOO-HOO! Pic done in Adobe Illustrator CS.

Thank-you pic for the gifted writer (and great guy) Will A. Sanborn. I was going for more of an old-fashioned illustration look than total realism. Though I LOVE to see all different kinds, this is more of the way I draw anthro-animal art when I'm drawing for myself - mostly animal but with a bit of a personality. RSVP pen, pencil, bit of Photoshop on embossed-frame invite card.

Syn-biglionpondering syn-biglionpondering.jpg   S. M. Bittler (Synnabar)   10/18/2004   576x482

Big Lion Pondering (for Fang, Claw & Steel magazine). I had my husband sit for this, but I slimmed the arms down. I tried to do a different body type than my usual "super-chiseled-muscles" male. Mostly mechanical pencil, with some grey tones added in Photoshop 7.

Syn-easterninfluenceiv syn-easterninfluenceiv.jpg   S. M. Bittler (Synnabar)   10/18/2004   592x539

Inspired by the Far Eastern Asian and Indian artwork I'd been looking at; these were swimming around in my head for a while. The lower right is sort of like a feline Kuan Yin. The upper left (in the caftan) is hand-less on purpose (I see it as a sort of spirit or... something). Oh, and I do like elephants! I made up the ornamentation on him.

Syn-hellcat_head syn-hellcat_head.jpg   S. M. Bittler (Synnabar)   10/18/2004   648x438

Originally intended to be a decal for my truck, the color and lighting are flat and rather non-directional in the style of other car decals I've seen. She has 2 extra front teeth per jaw for this particular piece, but that changes from time to time. It kind of reminds me of the "Medusa head" motifs you often see in ancient Greek and Roman art, or perhaps a doorknocker. Pencil, Photoshop.

Syn-leopardzine syn-leopardzine.jpg   S. M. Bittler (Synnabar)   10/18/2004   792x249

Leopard with a Magazine (she's reading Fang, Claw & Steel). Pretty typical for me - she's mostly animal-like but has some humanoid features. Spot-wise, I started out being "accurate" but ended up doing my own thing (which is more fun for me). Mechanical pencil on Bristol. (I'm catching up with uploads here)

Happy belated birthday Dingbat!

Friends stick up for each other <3

For GuterHorse, because she always knows how to make things better (and more slimy!)
