Orcadel orcadel.jpg   Renee LeCompte (Maggock)   11/16/2001   550x321

An anniversay gift for the ever wonderful Orca and her mate Delphis! I hope you all enjoy it as much she does, and as much as I enjoyed painting it! You can see a zoom here: http://www.gryphonguild.org/maggock/images/art/orcadelz.jpg

OK had to re-upload cuz the grass was way too explosively green, as pointed out by Kelly Hamilton. Kineta taking part a strange bathing ritual with a tube thing. She has a mohawk. Once again sorry for the re-upload.

Graywolf/Illahie! My half of our trade, this pic is also a study of one of the ways I do weres (to paraphrase another post) - built for running on all fours like a non-anthro wolf, but with enough strength in the hind limbs to enable walking on the hind limbs for short periods if necessary. The wrists are slightly altered to allow rotation (most canines, with some exceptions like foxes, etc. have wrists that restrict lateral movement). There's been comments that the face is a bit wide; perhaps if I had defined the skull through the fur more I would have been more successful. THANKS ILLAHIE! :D

Synkngwa synkngwa.jpg   S. M. Bittler (Synnabar)   11/16/2001   594x475

Kingugwa! A gnoll, but as a warrior of the god Tempus, he's better-groomed and behaved than most. Per CitizenRob's description, he's strong but quick, and more human in proportions (as in, plantigrade, etc.). A challenge for me - I haven't drawn many hyenas, and I tend to make them more animal-like than here. Two views, like in a "Gnoll's Guide to Anatomy" or something. I tried to make him modestly covered.

Synsera synsera.jpg   S. M. Bittler (Synnabar)   11/16/2001   500x648

Seraphine! Property of S. Oltersdorf of the VCL. I wanted to try something different (and I loved the hat he drew for her) so I just went with it. More muted, flat colors than my usual. I wanted it to look sort of like a sci-fi or fantasy book cover, wth shades of Mobius or the Dillons (though it falls far short of either).

Synsilmk synsilmk.jpg   S. M. Bittler (Synnabar)   11/16/2001   621x576

SilverMane/Maverick! An EZboard pic for a good online friend of mine. A wise, battle-scarred white lion, with a black-furred right arm. The armor was adapted from another person's depiction of the character, per request. (BTW: I love blade-weapons!) Your place by the fire is safe, Silvermane! :D (Boy, I just noticed all the BLUE in these recent posts... ergh... sorry!)

Syntacco syntacco.jpg   S. M. Bittler (Synnabar)   11/16/2001   576x438

Tacco Hirashima! Property of Reno Maxwell of the VCL. I drew him slightly anthro about the front paws and hind legs like Synn ON PURPOSE; the two characters are not related and any similarity is coincidence. He didn't originally look like my Synnabar - it was my artistic license. This is a good example of the "anthros" I draw for myself (not the ones requested or for art trades or commissions); most are, like this, usually more animal than human, but with dextrous front paws. Pencil sketch mouse-colored in Photoshop 6 (and boy is the mouse tired ;P).
