I went down to Los Angeles recently, and while there I spent a day with Jonas Silver. We had odd conversations, overpriced caffeine, ogled t-shirts with obscene slogans silkscreened onto them, stepped on [squishy|pointy|moving] things at the beach in Santa Monica, and ended up at Coco's that night. Then this particular episode occured. Let this be a lesson: do not look at dessert menus. They are minions of Satan. :D

Medicated to the One I Love

So I showed Andrea Koupal's horsehoe crab to a friend of mine to cheer her up, and said friend squealed, "EEE, now I want to see a nautilus!!" So... I drew a nautilus.

This is my first stab at the beast they call Oekaki, which I couldn't expiriment with prior to last week because I didn't have a copy of IE installed. Took about three hours, plus the time I spent trying to figure out how on earth to get the paint tools configured properly...

This was a commission I did at FC. One of the more unusual drawings I did there, certainly: an otter who really loves his spaghetti and meatballs.

A new version of the raver were! It's mostly the same as the original -- the differences are added feathers, tweaked color for printing, and a much bigger, much cleaner master file. I'm puttin' it on posters (and other junk, on a whim) at http://www.cafeshops.com/raverwere -- yay!

A jaguar, stalking. I started this a very, very long time ago...a year and change (February '01, I think). It's done completely in Photoshop, and I worked on it heavily for a couple of months early last year. Then it ended up on the backburner somehow, and since then, it'd get pulled out every couple of months, worked on, and then shelved again for later. I'm sure there's more I could do with it, but... it's to the point where I've decided it's just DONE, and that's that. (Now perhaps I can move along to worrying if I'll ever finish something more recent. :))
