Just to be funny, I anime-style-SD'd one of my friends' dogs. In real life he's a giant husky mix or some kind, but way overly friendly. And, that's not his real name, but everyone calls him nauseating names like that. Hey, it's better than one of my relatives (who named her doberman "Poochie" for reasons I still haven't figured out. Sure, he's friendly and all, but the other dogs must give him hell).

Here's a quick for-fun doodle of Ikarus, palomino pegasus. Odd story: The drawing's on a piece of what I affectionately call 'mystery board'. Just got it as backing for a cel I bought, but makes nice art media... Will be putting it on Furbid if anyone wants it.

A conbook sketch I did of Cindy, from the comic strip "Class Menagerie" (http://www.classm.com). Character's © Vince Suzukawa (ha ha, I don't have to look it up to spell it right! whee!) It's really bad...I couldn't remember exactly how she looked and made a few mistakes in the character design. :P Oh well. Fixed that in the drawing I did after I got home from the con, but then I didn't like the inking job on that one. Oh well.

This was a logo design I was asked to do, but the original person who wanted it changed her mind and went for a commission request instead. ^_^; But don't worry, the fox has another owner now...

A little Kitty pic I did to 'celebrate' my finishing of a very long and very exhausting project. You know what kind of state of mind I'm in, if I stay awake to finish a drawing DESCRIBING how tired I am, rather than actually go to sleep. I haven't drawn Kitty in a while but somehow she worked best for this. I cropped the image a bit, the pic is a little bigger and includes a little sign that says "Disturb and DIE!" with a small arrow pointing to Kitty.

Here's the other Class Menagerie drawing I did...I don't like the inking on this one and when I get the initiative to hook up my scanner again I'll put up the color version. "Hiemis Nox" - an experiment in black and white only; no shading, no color. This is my idea of the spirit of winter. Hiemis nox, if I am remembering my Latin correctly, means 'night of winter'. Any questions about her 'dress'...well, she's a spirit. It's meant to look that way. This is pretty much the final version of this picture, and I will probably be making others to represent the other seasons. :)

Something different, again. Just curious to see if I could do a morphic Chinese dragon. It didn't quite work as I planned it, and she doesn't have a name. Just sitting there, floating around in the sky, combing her tail out (hence the filename, jadecomb). I don't think I'm going to keep this one. But hey, if you're interested, I put her up for auction on FurBid...

This is a small version of a poster I did for Halloween to decorate my apartment. I didn't think it would be that confusing, but Jezzebel is a bat, a female, and she's dressed as a clown.

Ahh, new stuff. Lady Piao is a new character for me, and a little unusual in that she's kind of amazon-ish. Still, I like this tiger's attitude, don't you? A quick sketch done in class just the other day...I was thinking of the song...I think it was by Billy Joel? about the piano-player who works in a bar. If you're wondering where the rest of her arms are, I drew it that way because from there on down she'd be hidden by the piano I'm planning to draw there. In case it's hard to tell, she's a bunny girl (like the ones in casinos, with the cute tuxedo-like clothing...except she's an actual bunny).

I looked at the header of my webpage one day, and said to myself, "Dang, my drawing style sure was crappy a year and a half ago. Time for a new website header." So, here's the all-new Ponygirl, as she's sort of stabilized (at least, appearance-wise). Don't even think about stealing this pic, it's on the top of my website and that would just make ya look silly. :) Prints available in b&w of this, though...

Here's a grey cat, in a simple but nice blue prom dress, sitting with the wind at her back. The flowers are supposed to be a corsage of roses, but I dunno if the scan came out well enough... I was a little down the day I did this, and I originally really didn't like it so I was gonna put it up on Furbid. Then I started coloring it and I started to like it. Still on auction though, cause I need the money...

An experiment in something outside my normal style...it was based off a sketchy pose from life drawing class. Obviously not finished... The only really irritating thing about this wolf was that I thought he'd more Polynesian and less generic American Indian-ish, but I guess if the feather wasn't there that'd help. I guess it would have helped too if I'd picked a different species. :p But I've been on a real canine kick lately, for some reason.
